Senior Accountant Job

JOB PURPOSE

To execute revenue accounting and receivables related activities, perform required reconciliations, monitor customer accounts and issue related analyses and reports inline with applicable accounting standards.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Collections & Accounts Receivable

• Estimate and forecast on a monthly basis the total amount of receivables that needs to be collected to ensure proper monitoring and follow-up accordingly
• Prepare and record revenues documentation to maintain accuracy of accounting records and statements at all times
• Maintain Collections & Accounts Receivable department on the collection of receivables and update related accounting entries to ensure clean recording in accounting system
• Execute revenue accounting activities in order to assess revenue collection and highlight significant insights to be reported to higher management for further analysis
• Conduct needed analyses to detect any deviations in receivables or incorrect invoices in order to identify the need for issuing credit notes and submit related report to higher management for approval
• Perform reconciliation between collections channels and IT systems to ensure payments are processed smoothly and in a timely manner
• Perform daily reconciliation between Tahakom revenues and treasury deposits to ensure transactions are accurately recorded

• Draft reports on revenue collections to be submitted to concerned stakeholders after approval, to participate in monthly, quarterly and yearly accounting cycles and financial statements

JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Knowledge & Experience 

• 4 to 6 years of relevant experience in accounting

Education & Certifications 

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or equivalent is required
